Dr Tony Rieglings Letter 4/28/17

Welcome back! I hope you had a blessed Easter and a restful spring break. I enjoyed hearing about so many of the adventures our students enjoyed with their families. We have certainly hit the ground running! If you look at the calendar, there is hardly any room left to “pencil in” something. Please be sure to check the calendar, as well as your child’s teacher to keep up on all that is happening.

We had a wonderful gathering at Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom this morning. I enjoyed an opportunity to visit with so many moms and dads. It is always nice when we can have those informal meetings. Of course, the Book Fair is also here, so please stop in to shop! Tomorrow, we will honor our grandparents with a special day. Grandparents should meet us in the church for Mass. You may sit with your grandchildren. After Mass, there are activities in the school. I hope to see lots of grandparents.

Congratulations to Pantherbots Gold, our VEX robotics team. They are fresh back from the World Championships. The best teams from over 30 countries came together in Louisville earlier this week. While they did not medal, for a first-year team, they did a great job—placing in the middle of the pack. John B, Ethan K, Sam M, and Matt R. are coached by Jeanette and Stephen Bolin. Well done Pantherbots! Congratulations also to Aiden M. for earning State Recognition based upon his scores on the ACT test as part of the Duke TIP program. State recognition is earned by about 1/3 of those taking the ACT. Great job Aiden!

Our reading today is from John 3:31-36. In verse 36, we read” Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life…” What a wonderful realization as we move forward through the Easter Season. We are indeed blessed to have been given such a wonderful gift through Jesus.

God bless, and see you around campus,

Tony Riegling
