My name is Jennifer Frolo-Baker and I am so excited to join the team of fine educators here at St. Paul School! While I may be new to the school, I have been an active parishioner since 2013. You may have seen me teaching Religion on Wednesday nights, working at our Tuesday night Bingo, manning the Gift Card Booth at the festival, bringing the Eucharist to our fellow Catholics at Colonial Gardens, or lectoring at noon Mass. I guess you could say I like to be involved! And while I have worn many hats professionally, the one common theme across my long career is that of service to others.
I graduated from Villa Madonna Academy after attending there all 12 years, then I was off to Xavier University, earning my B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business. I worked for 4 years at Children’s Psychiatric Hospital, then returned to Xavier and earned my M.Ed. in Elementary Education. I have taught everything from Kindergarten to college in the diocese, at Kentucky College of Business, and for Boone County Schools, but my “niche” seems to be middle school math…hence my excitement to be right where I belong! For the past 4 years, I have worked as a Pharmacy Tech at CVS Pharmacy, which is both cerebral and a service-oriented position, so perfect for me.
On the personal side of my life, I have been married to my best friend Travis Baker since 2000. We are blessed to be parents to Nicholas & Caroline who are seniors at Ryle, and Ryan, who is a sophomore at Ryle. Two dogs (Sadie & Little Bit) & two cats (Daphne & Maggie) round out our active household. Favorite activities of mine include singing (all the time), working on our house (a never-ending project), attending our children’s marching band competitions and archery meets, doing puzzles & brain teasers, binge-watching movies or TV series, learning languages, and just hanging out with my family. We really enjoy traveling to our favorite place in the world to visit family, enjoy the beautiful mountains & historical sites: Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic & Germany. Currently, I am working on my Rank 1 certification, so that keeps me busy as well. I can’t wait to have fun teaching and learning math with your kiddos this year!! Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay in touch, and it’ll be a great year!
