Education/Background

Hi Everyone! I am Natalya McMahan, the Social Emotional Learning Teacher and Counselor at St. Paul Catholic School. I grew up in the Northern Kentucky area and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary for grade school. I graduated high school from Randall K. Cooper High School, finishing in the top 10 percent of my class. I graduated Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology and from the University of the Cumberlands with a Master’s of Education degree, where I obtained certification to become a School Counselor.  I was recently awarded “Outstanding School Counselor Graduate” by the Kentucky School Counseling Association. My educational career started at Boone County Schools as a substitute teacher for 3 years and last year I was an Instructional Assistant for a Structured Teaching Unit in Kenton County School District. I am excited to be here at St. Paul!

My role as a Social Emotional Learning Teacher and Counselor is motivated by my passion and dedication for helping students in a mental health perspective. My mission is to have ALL students learn in a safe and supportive environment embedded in the Catholic faith. I want ALL students to be successful with their social/emotional, academic/career, and life development.

Please feel free to reach out to me at any time! I am here to support the students!
