Education/Background
My name is Shannon Swikert and I am in my fifth year as the middle school science teacher at St. Paul. I have a BSc in biochemistry/molecular biology from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, a PhD in neuroscience from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and a MA in Teaching at Thomas More University.
I am so excited to share my passion for science and love of learning with the students of St. Paul. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, hiking (especially at the Red River Gorge where I volunteer with their trail crew), and watching Jeopardy. Although I did not grow up in Northern Kentucky, many of my family are St. Paul alumni.
