Education/Background
Hello, my name is Sara Chalfant, and I am the third grade teacher at St. Paul School. I have been teaching for 21 years, all at St. Paul. I grew up in Northern Kentucky and have been in Catholic education my entire life. I went to grade school at St. Joseph Elementary in Crescent Springs, high school at Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Children’s Literature. I am also a Level One Google Certified Educator. I am a recipient of the Rotary Club of Florence Teacher of the Year award (2022). I have been married for 17 years to my wonderful husband, and we have two amazing children. Our oldest attended St. Paul School and is now a sophomore at Covington Catholic High School. Our youngest is a seventh grader at St. Paul School. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family and close friends in my spare time.
