Education/Background
Teaching is my vocation and I feel truly blessed to teach your children each day at St. Paul. I earned my teaching degree from Morehead State University and my Master’s Degree in Reading and Writing instruction from the University of Kentucky. I taught high school special education in Lexington, KY for six years, 8th grade Language Arts in Oldham County for four years, and reading and writing classes to college freshmen and adults at Gateway Community College for seven years. This is my sixth year teaching middle school literature at St. Paul.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Kevin, and I have three children. Jacob is 23, Lucas is 21, and Gabby is 17. We love to travel and spend time outdoors. Our favorite travel destinations are National Parks. We hope to eventually say that we’ve seen them all. I also love to read, cook, hike, walk my dogs, and lounge at the swimming pool.
