Archery Registration – Click Here
We are excited about our 5th season of Archery at St. Paul School. A little info about how Archery works and the time commitment it takes. Very soon all 4th-8th graders will be introduced to Archery during Gym Glass with Mrs. Poulos.
Elementary Team – Grades 4-5
Middle School Team – Grades 6-8
Up to 24 Archers on each team. This is Coed so both Boys and Girls compete together. Up to 24 Archers shoot at a meet and the top 12 scores are counted. Top scores must include at least 4 Boys and 4 Girls then followed by the next highest 4 archers regardless of sex.
Archery meets will be in the NKY area at various schools that host a shoot/tournament. All archers use the exact same equipment (bows, arrows, and targets) to keep a level playing field. All equipment will be provided by the school. Students may purchase their own equipment for extra practice.
Transportation to and from must be provided by the parents.
Meets are usually on a Saturday and an occasional Friday evening. Meets last all day but our teams will be assigned a shooting window which is approximately 1 hour. Archers only need to be present during our window. Scores are tallied at the end of the meet and usually posted after the last flight of the meet. Most archers also play basketball, we can usually work around game schedules to accommodate everyone.
Practice will be 1 day a week held in our Gymnasium. Time TBA. Usually Fridays.
Practice starts mid October.
First meet is tentatively first part of Nov. The season lasts from Nov.-Mar.
Meets are not every week and the schedule may change as more schools announce meets.
Regionals – Feb. State – Mar.
This is a KHSAA sport recognized by the State of Kentucky. We are in Region 8.
