Based off the reality show, The Amazing Race, the 8th grade class will be holding their version of the race on Saturday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carlin Center.
Parent, friends, and families with children in all grades and in the community are invited to form teams of 4 (ages 21 and over) to compete in fun timed challenges at local stations and race to the finish line. All proceeds from the social fundraiser will go toward the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. At the finish line, there will be an after-race party: drinks, snacks, music, games and fun.
The cost is $80 for a team (max of 4 per team) or $25 per a person for teams less than 4. Up to 3 Half-Time Fast Passes can be purchases at the door for $20 each.
Registration: Price includes: 2 drink tickets per person, snacks and race entry. Register by October 31 and receive one free Half-Time Fast Pass.
Babysitting: This year, we are offering babysitting for children that are potty trained and older! The cost is $10 per child with a $25 family max. If you are in need of the babysitting service, please email Angela Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org by November 5 so we can have an accurate headcount. Payment will be due the night of the race.
